with one simple observation.
I've always been fascinated by why some places feel instinctively right, while others never quite do.
As an interior designer, I began to notice something that added another dimension to conventional design thinking.
People don't all respond to the qualities of the places they inhabit in the same way.
The same colour, degree of enclosure, material quality or spatial character can feel entirely different from one person to another.
And it isn't simply a matter of personal taste.
I began to understand that my own experience of a place wasn't necessarily
the reference point.
What felt right to me could feel entirely different to someone else.
That observation changed where I begin.
